1st Follow Up Activity
During my participation in the ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME KA 153YOU – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY FOR YOUTH WORKERS "cREating a Safe sPacE for inClusiviTy, sexual and ReprodUctive non-forMal education for youth workers: reSPECTRUm", which took place in in Pissouri, Limassol, Cyprus, from 20th until 25th of June 2023, I have learned about a tool, named as 'Blind director', which has been designed for youth workers.
As part of the dissemination of this
project, I had the opportunity to organize an activity/workshop ,using this
tool, on the topic 'RESPECT' during my volunteering at the Erasmus programme,
European Solidarity Corps (ESC) project at the SUPPORTING CARITAS CENTRE in
Sant'Agata di Militello, Italy (from 26/07/2023 to 08/08/2023).

Through this activity/ workshop-using this
tool, our team/group had the chance to work on the topic of RESPECT and connect
it with the topic of sex education, but also connect it with the topic of the
ESC project.
During this activity/workshop, the participants were using different ways of communication, according to their role. The challenge of this workshop was that the team needed to cooperate in order to find creative solutions to communicate and finally, achieve the goal of the activity. Through successful cooperation and by listening to each other, this was achieved.
Therefore, through this activity, our group realized
the importance of communication in a diverse population where there are various
forms of communication (for example, verbal or non-verbal communication).
It also gave the group the chance to learn each
other better and connect more- through a fun, creative and interesting
activity. This enhanced our team spirit
2nd Follow up Activity
Follow up activity was done in Pissouri, early September (3 of September) 2023 in the dissemination event of our NGO https://www.acpelia.org/post/dissemination-event-sunday-3-of-september-2023-pissouri-multicultural-center In the activity there were more than 20 members of our NGO and also representatives of Local Authorities from Pissouri Council . The activity was done at 3 of September 2023 in Pissouri Multicultural Center.
Trainers, participants and the president of the organisation speak about the experience in the project RESPECTRUM and there was a big discussion among the youthworkers and other participants from the community about the theme of the project due to the fact that in Cyprus is still taboo speaking about sex.

Evaluation from Participants
Eleni Themistocleous
From 20th until 25th of June 2023, I had the opportunity to participate in the ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME KA 153YOU – PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY FOR YOUTH WORKERS "cREating a Safe sPacE for inClusiviTy, sexual and ReprodUctive non-forMal education for youth workers: reSPECTRUm" in Pissuri, Cyprus.
36 participants from 9 countries took part in In this Erasmus+ training programme: from Cyprus, Ukraine, Armenia, Poland, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, and Belarus.
This training programme gave me the chance to meet interesting people, who inspired me professionally and personally, and to create beautiful experiences during this project.
During this training,I had the chance to learn a lot of non-formal education tools and activities for inclusive sexual and reproductive health and sex education, designed for youth workers, such as blind director, caring sandwich, forum theatre, gender galaxy, identity flower, tools-Shannon-Weaver model, problem solution tree etc. Therefore, I am able to use them now as- a professional in the field of Psychology.
On the one hand, this training gave me the chance to acknowledge the steps
and the progress my country, Cyprus, has made during the recent years on the
topic. On the other hand, it gave me the opportunity to identify ,more clearly,
the areas that need to get improved.
Moreover, it gave me the opportunity to work on the possible solutions
and ways which can lead to change.
Improvement on the topic of sex education is crucial and we have a lot of tools to work towards these changes! So let's work towards this progress all together!! Special thanks to our trainer Victoria Tkachenko @vikkitk for all her contribution to this project.
I
would like to also thank the Cypriot organization 'Active Cypriot Programs and
European Learning Into Acceptance, ACPELIA' @acpelia_cyprus - who organized
this project and gave me this opportunity to be a part of it.
Gavriela Loukaidou:
An amazing project. The experience I gained from the Erasmus+ programme, Respectrum, in Pissouri, Limassol, Cyprus was amazing. I met new people, tasted different dishes and made new friends. I learnt a lot about the sexual education and sexual abuse in different countries. I learnt many things about the way of living in different countries, I learnt new words in different languages expanding my linguistic competence and my English speaking skill was enhanced. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I would definitely like it to live it again!

Participating in the "cREating a Safe sPacE for inClusiviTy, sexual and ReprodUctive non-forMal education for youth workers: reSPECTRUm" Professional Development Activity in Pissouri, Limassol, Cyprus has been an incredibly enlightening journey. Engaging in workshops, discussions, and practical activities about sex education has broadened my perspective on the theme. Interacting with international peers and collaborating on ideas has strengthened my cross-cultural communication skills and expanded my network. I'm excited to expand the knowledge and insights gained during this project to my local community, and I am determined to contribute to the growth of social enterprises that can make a lasting impact.
Charalampos Pilavakis:
Thanks to Acpelia and Erasmus +, I was able to participate in the "RESPECTRUM" professional development activity in Pissouri, Limassol, Cyprus. An amazing experience since it included everything, educational knowledge and socialisation. The programme I had the chance to learn a lot of non-formal education tools and activities for inclusive sexual and reproductive health and sex education, designed for youth workers, such as blind director, caring sandwich, forum theatre, gender galaxy, identity flower, tools-Shannon-Weaver model, problem solution tree etc. Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Armenia were the countries who participated in that project. There were too many cultures, too many different people, too many different mindsets and we were able to interact with each other and learn a lot from each other. I am glad that I was able to participate in such an amazing program and learn so much! A big Thank you to all the organisations and the trainers who did their best for us.
